Special Families Campaign

In March 2010 Fertility Europe started asking Member Organisation to send in the so called messages of hope. Pictures (photos of family, children, couples or handprint or child illustrations) with a short story - an explanation, why the family, which origianally encountered problems to have a child, now sees itself special, achieving the dream about the family.

The picures and stories in the native language/s of the country (or optionally also translated into English) are coming from the national Fertility Europe member organisations and made into postcards. These postcards of hope will be displayed in Rome at ESHRE 2010. Some of the stories already sent in are very powerful and show enormous courage and determination of child wishing parents as well as variety of ways to become a special family.

In the future months, the pictures and stories, directly made into postcards by participating families in internet, will be sent from Fertility Europe member websites and their partner websites. They will be sent by e-mail to Fertility Europe headquarters for annual display event, possible local/national awareness and fertility education campaigns and to optional other e-mail addresses with a message, targeting millions of people in Europe. Selection of various postcards will be available at www.fertilityeurope.eu.

Postcards of hope reaching millions

Fertility Europe, that is currently 25 Members in 22 countries, millions of website visitors each month, eager to conceive.

A total number of 5 -10 postcards from each participating Member of Fertility Europe will be displayed in Rome at the annual ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) congress in the Fertility Europe booth at the end of June 2010. The Special Families Campain will be officially launched and presented to international media, partner organisations and individuals, IVF clinics and many other partners.

The aim is to launch the campaing and introduce the future electronic form of sending the postcards of hope from the websites of Fertility Europe Members and other Partner Organisations in various countries for the period of four to six months, whereby - with a help of huge international media campaign - thousands of postcards will be sent it and presented at a Special Families Wall of Hope in Stockholm at the ESHRE congress in summer of 2011.
